  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 2–3 bananas
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional Add-Ins:
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat and Prep
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients
  • In a large bowl, mash bananas. Add pumpkin puree, sugars, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until fully combined.
  • Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients
  • Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt. Stir just until no flour streaks remain—do not overmix.
  • Step 4: Add Mix-Ins
  • Fold in nuts or chocolate chips, if using.
  • Step 5: Bake
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step 6: Cool and Serve
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely before slicing.
