Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  • Step 2: Make the Caramel Layer
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, stir sweetened condensed milk constantly for about 5 minutes, until it starts to thicken slightly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in chopped Butterfingers and peanuts.
  • Spread the mixture evenly over the crust.
  • Step 3: Bake
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and golden.
  • Let the bars cool completely in the pan.
  • Step 4: Add the Chocolate
  • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 15–20 second bursts, stirring between each until smooth.
  • Spread evenly over the cooled filling.
  • Step 5: Chill and Slice
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until chocolate is firm.
