Equipment

  • Plastic Shot Cups with Lids 2-ounce
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Liquid Measuring Cup

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry jello 3-ounce package
  • cups boiling water
  • ¾ cup cold water
  • 9 bloodshot candy eyeballs or more, depending on servings

Instructions

  • In a large heat-safe measuring cup or mixing bowl, stir the jello powder into the boiling water until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  • Add the cold water and stir again until combined.
  • Pour the mixture into plastic shot glasses or small cups, leaving a bit of space at the top to prevent spilling.
  • Set the cups on a baking sheet for easy transport, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Just before serving, place one candy eyeball on top of each jello shot.

Notes

Use a baking sheet: It makes transferring the filled cups to the fridge much easier and reduces the risk of spills.
Add eyes last: Don’t place the candy eyes on top until just before serving—they can soften or bleed if added too early.
Skip the alcohol: This version is completely kid-safe and perfect for school parties, family events, or Halloween fun with all ages.
