Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza

  • by

1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Prepare the crescent crust
Unroll the crescent dough and press the pieces together to form one solid sheet. Press the dough into the prepared pan, bringing it slightly up the sides.

Bake for 5–7 minutes, just until the dough begins to set but isn’t browned.

3. Prepare the eggs
Whisk the eggs with the milk, a pinch of salt, and black pepper.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the eggs and gently scramble until they are softly set. Remove from the heat.

4. Prepare the gravy
Prepare the country gravy according to the package directions. Stir the cooked sausage into the warm gravy, reserving a small amount of sausage for the topping if desired.

5. Layer the pizza
Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the partially baked crescent crust.

Scatter the scrambled eggs over the gravy.

6. Add the cheese
Sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the eggs.

Top with the remaining sausage crumbles.

7. Season
Sprinkle with garlic powder, parsley or Italian seasoning, and a little black pepper. Add red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.

8. Bake
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 12–16 minutes, until the crescent crust is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted and bubbling.

9. Rest and slice
Let the breakfast pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set and makes it easier to serve.

10. Serve
Cut into wedges or squares and serve warm.

Easy Add-Ins

You can customize this breakfast pizza with crispy bacon, diced ham, sautéed onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños. A little extra cheddar on top makes it especially cheesy.
